Please help Tiffany fight and beat cancer.

Cancer. It’s the scariest word a doctor can say to you. On January 6th, 2023 Tiffany Kiss heard the words that no person ever wants or deserves to hear, “you have cancer.”

Let me introduce you to Tiffany. She’s a mom of two and a grandma of two. She’s a beloved aunt to a gaggle of kids who love her. She’s a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, and a friend to many. When she’s not hard at work as a bartender, she spends her free time with her grandkids or niece and nephews. Tiffany has a big heart and loves those around her fiercely. She’s a firecracker on the outside but a big mush on the inside and she’s always willing to go out of her way to help others. Even animals. She has a cat aptly named, “Trash Cat,” that she rescued by coaxing him out from the dumpster he was hiding in. She nursed him back to health and has cared for him since despite, or maybe because of, his prickly personality. She also volunteered as a Team Leader for Relay for Life - raising money for cancer research and even donating her hair to be used for Wigs. She’s the type of person who will literally give her last dollar, even if it means she might not make ends meet.

On January 2nd, 2023 Tiffany was admitted to the hospital due to dangerously low hemoglobin levels, shortness of breath, dizziness, and pain following 3 weeks of heavy bleeding. She had been resisting going to the hospital because she wanted to wait for her new health insurance to kick in so she didn’t have to worry about a large hospital bill. After blood transfusions to stabilize her, scans, and biopsies, the doctors identified a large tumor that was locally invasive and was determined to be cancerous. At this time, they are still determining staging of the cancer and the best treatment plan.

She will likely need radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the tumor before surgery is even an option. At this point, she has been unable to work for more than a couple of hours in the last month. She has health insurance but insurance only covers so much and the bills for cancer treatment are going to be large. She’s optimistic about working, but the likelihood of her being to work long hours on her feet will while going through treatment and surgery is unlikely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
