Please help to fund our Community Groceries

Resurrected Bites are setting up a Comunity Grocery in Knaresborough and one in the New Park area of Harrogate in the Autumn of 2021. We hope to open a further Community Grocery in 2022 in the Fairfax or Starbeck area of Harrogate. These are all areas where we have seen a high number of people struggling to put food on the table during the pandemic. Therefore, we will invite people who are struggling to access food to become members of the grocery. Their membership (£5 per annum) will entitle them to shop at their local grocery for £3 a shop (1-2 member household), £5 for a 3+ member household. Our members will be able to access a large amount of fresh & frozen food for this price and some store cupboard items and toiletries.

We need to employ a grocery manager to run each store and we are also taking on a warehouse for the food storage and a warehouse manager.

We need to kit out the shops & warehouse with racking and fridges and freezers.

Therefore, we are looking for help to get us off the ground.
