26th OCTOBER UPDATE - GO FUND ME CLOSING!!

We have some fantastic news. We are currently in Greece and have secured a Air Ambulance for Jonathan to fly home, today , this is all amazing and very sudden news for us all. We could not have done it without the help of each and every single person who helped in any way possible. We are so grateful to every one who donated to the go fund me , have and had fundraisers, messaged and wished us well along the way, Shane and I will be flying home Friday and will be closing the go fund me .

Jonathans condition isn't great at the minute and currently has numerous infections, so a little prayer for his Journey home. Whatever happens, our Jonathan is coming home where he belongs

As a lot of local people are aware Jonathan Tobin(Jiles) native of Youghal, Co. Cork was in a near drowning accident in Crete , Greece on the 29th of July this year, the accident resulted in leaving him in a persistent vegetative state with no likelihood for improvement.

He is since an inpatient at Heraklion University Hospital in Greece.

The aim of the go fund me (which is set up by his family) is to raise the much needed funds to fly Jonathan home to Ireland by Air Ambulance, accompanied by a doctor to CUH , Cork. The costs are huge and in addition to the tremendous hurt the family have endured since the accident, flying over and back to Crete has caused further stress.

He is currently deemed fit to fly home with only a small time frames (infections ) but once the funds are raised , then we can get him flown home back to Ireland .
