SPOTSWOOD’S VFW POST 4589 NEEDS YOUR HELP TO REOPEN
The Post 4589 is located at 33 Daniel Road in Spotswood New Jersey and has been in existence for 62 plus years, a gathering place for all of our deserving Veterans. Post 4589 hosts many charitable events for the community over the past decades, such as a monthly Blood Donation Drive, Picnics for our disabled Veterans, Funeral Services, and the Boy Scouts of America functions.
Similarly, the VFW is very active with the Spotswood school district orchestrating the Patriots Pen Program at the Elementary level and the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest for the high school students. They also sponsor a scholarship every year for a deserving Senior graduate.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our post doors have been closed since March 2020. Without the capabilities to have our Canteen open, host our monthly breakfasts, or rent out the use of our hall, we have had NO income to pay our monthly bills so, we are now severely in arrears on everything.
The new commander, Travis Fryzowicz, a Vietnam Veteran and the post are asking for your help to support these local veterans, your neighbors, relatives, and friends. Your contributions will go directly to paying our bills. Our hope is to reopen soon to full capacity and bring our Veterans and friends back home to 4589. Post 4589 is determined to go down with a fight and we thank you for anything you can contribute to our goal.
