Rosie's Fight To Live

Dear Supporters/Readers: For those of you who don't know, my name is Scarlit-Rose Ashcraft. Friends & family often call me Rosie, and I'm artistically known as Dreamer Queen, mom of two teen sons, creative fashion lover, survivor and advocate. I'm living with an unusual and mostly invisible but painful, challenging and serious chronic illness called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, or EDS. I am from Victoria, B.C. Canada. I aspire to continue developing as a music artist and I hope to help make a difference in this world by giving what I have to offer via sharing my own story, experiences and reflections through music, poems and other writings... as well as by various means of social media. EDS is a systemic (involves many body systems) condition which has caused me to be challenged with several physical effects, most especially as it relates to painful and debilitating ligament damage in my upper neck. As some may know, I've had trouble accessing proper treatment in my own home country (which is a common problem with many EDS patients - that needs to change.) I can't afford to pay privately for the kind of treatment I need to get reasonably better - so I've been stuck on many meds like painkillers, beta blockers and antihistamines which I need to function but have side effects that are harmful. I am trying to raise funds for a better way to ultimately save my life, which is going on a concerning path to an early grave. I push myself hard. I began the process of fundraising last year, which was initially set up by a friend of my dads'.

I deeply thank all the previous donors. Their donations are an important step toward my final goal, and I am now picking up from where I left off to continue trying to reach the intended goal. Currently ,the goal remains the same as it was, though this may change. Since last year, the plan has slightly changed upon learning new information about my condition (all info available via my websites' writeup.)
