Today, June 16, 2020, thanks to a lot of small donations, a few medium-sized donations, and one large donation, we've achieved our goal! Thank you, everyone. It's been wonderful to learn how much the community supports us, and we'll do our best to serve you for years to come.

[NOTE: Our mother-ship, Twice Sold Tales/Capitol Hill also has a fundraiser). The stores are separate business enterprises, and we do not have access to funds raised for the Capitol Hill store.]
Twice Sold Tales/Ballard has been buying selling books in Ballard since November 2013 . We have moved a couple of times and have been humbled by your patronage and care of the resident cat, Beau.
Recently, we have had to close our doors to the public since March 23rd to comply with with the state governor's COVID-19 orders. Flattening the curve is something we take seriously, and Twice Sold Tales has taken a hit as a result. Because of revenue losses and the delays in other avenues of relief (such as small business COVID-19 relief grants), we have turned to crowdfunding to help us cover our costs for April and May. We have met our goal for April, but Gov. Jay Inslee has announced that the shutdown will last until at least May 31.
Monthly Costs:
Rent: $2,310
Utilities (including internet): $200
Worker's Salaries: $2,000
Beau Care (food, litter, and vet): $100
Insurance: $200
Total ask: $9,620
If we can cover expenses for two months ($9,620), we are optimistic in our ability to keep afloat until summer.
