Please help us bring Derek home

My name is Sandra and I have been Dereks wife for the last 50 years. We met as teenagers and together we have 4 children and 5 Grandsons. We enjoyed very much spending time together making lots of memories along the way. On Sunday 10th December 2023 Derek had an awful accident whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria where he slipped and fell down a flight of concrete steps. Derek was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where it was confirmed that he had suffered a major trauma to the head resulting in him having an extensive brain injury. At first I was not allowed to be with my husband as the injury was so severe. Derek was admitted onto the Intensive Care Ward where he was instantly put in a Deep Coma and Life Support was started. Once I knew Derek was stable I had the heartbreaking task of telling our children what had happened to their father. Through the days following my world fell apart. I was in a foreign country battling with Doctors where no one spoke English or was letting me know what was happening.
The communication between everyone seemed to have rapidly broke down. I felt like the hospital had no compassion at all for what we were going through. Information was none existent, medical reports were not exchanged, visiting hours were limited to 3 hours per day with no exceptions at all. On Wednesday 13 December 2023 we were given a little hope about Dereks condition. The following day Derek he had deteriorated and still there was a huge issue with communication. On Friday the 15th December we arrived at the hospital to be greeted by the Doctor who told us that Derek was never going to wake up and we had to prepare ourselves to say goodbye. Within 45 minutes of visiting we were told to leave the ward while the Nurses performed brain tests. After the tests were complete Nurses took us to a room where they sadly told us that Derek had passed away. We are absolutely broken as a family, Derek was a loving husband and we have just celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary, he was a fantastic father and doted on all of his grandchildren. He was a hard worker and was known for his friendly nature. I am receiving no financial support to repatriate Dereks body back to the UK and I need to bring Derek home where he can be laid to rest. We need all the financial support we can get. Please help us bring my husband home back to England.
