Please help us bring Edith home x

Hello. Thank you so much for reading this.

My name is Ben. My partner (Rebecca) and I are currently on holiday in Crete along with Rebecca’s 9 year old daughter.

Rebecca was 19 weeks pregnant until she suffered complications last night after being rushed to hospital and had to deliver our baby girl too early to survive. We have named her Edith (Edie) Iris Everett. Rebecca is currently in hospital in Heraklion after delivering last night, and will need to remain there for the next few days at least.

We need to repatriate the body of our beautiful baby girl and possibly organise staying on the island past the end date of our holiday, which will mainly involve the enormous cost of flying Edith home so we can give her the funeral she deserves.

It is incredibly hard for me to write this, as both me and Rebecca would never have thought we would need to ask for help like this - but we have found ourselves in this heartbreaking situation and cannot bare the possibility of having to leave Edie here.

Any help that you may be able to give us would be appreciated beyond how I may ever be able to put into words.
