Please Help this Family! John Moss III Memorial
For the past forty years, our friend John Moss III has been serving a life sentence in West Virginia for a crime he did not commit. John was up for parole this year and both he and his family were optimistic that he could finally be exonerated.
But that dream would never be realized- John passed away suddenly on Monday.
Our hearts are broken.
We are raising money to help John's sisters Deatrice Mason and Audrey Gibson
transport John's body home to Ohio and help his family give him a proper funeral
service. After the decades of suffering, John deserves a proper funeral.
This is a tragedy -one that we can not ignore.
Imagine if someone you loved spent forty years in prison for a crime they didn't
commit? And then months before they are up for parole they pass away ?
The amount of suffering that John and his family have endured is devastating. Our
hearts are heavy with the realization that John will never be able to see a sunset or
feel grass on his feet two things he desperately wanted to do.
John never let his circumstances break his spirit. He continued to have faith that he
would eventually be exonerated. He had faith in humanity and he never gave up
hope that justice would prevail.
John is a prime example of how the system has failed and the least we can do as a
society, as humans is help John have a proper funeral- and maybe he can finally have
some peace. Please pray for his family at this terrible time.
Thank you in advance for anything you can spare.
