Please help feed rescued abandoned cats!

TOMCAT SOLUTIONS was contacted by the regional Director of HSUS to check into a possible TNR (trap-neuter-return) situation. On her way to the beach one of their employees observed thin cats crossing a busy road, desperately trying to find food. Visiting the described neighborhood our research led us to a vacant house.
We knew that we were at the right place when we saw the empty food and water bowls and many starving, emaciated cats coming from all over begging for food. They were so hungry that they could hardly wait for us to pour food into their bowls.
It was obvious that the solution for these poor cats was not a matter of TNR (spaying, neutering and returning). These kitties were abandoned and not welcome in the neighborhood. They need to be taken out of this location into either indoor homes or barn placements.
Since TomCat Solutions does not have the manpower, setup or adoption capacity to help these poor kitties, we have been contacting humane organizations and hope to get support to rescue as many cats as possible. Our friends at Chesapeake Cats and Dogs will be involved. We hope that more rescues will sign on to this overwhelming endeavor.
In the meantime we need to keep the cats fed and build up their emaciated bodies.
This is where we need your help!!
Feeding 50 cats every day is not cheap. We have been privately funding food expenses but cannot stem the cost for the next few months it will take to find placements for all.
Please help us keep them alive while we sort through the process!
Thanks very much for your support!
