Hi, my name is Artem and I am an owner of 7 cats which all have been rescued by me and my family.
About two years ago, a homeless cat, we call him 'Biggie' started hanging around our place. I looked for his owners and took him to the local vet in the Rouse Hill area. Biggie had a chip and we were able locate his family's address in Riverstone. However, when I brought Biggie to his family home, although Biggie recognised them, the family did not seem to be happy to see him, and it was made clear to me, that they would just let him continue to roam the streets and would not care for him. Shortly after, Biggie's so-called family moved away without him! We have since taken care of Biggie. We already had seven cats! Despite trying to find him a home, we could not find anyone to take him in so he has been with us since. We had set up a place for him at our front yard, a big dog house and food station, he pretty much spends most of his days at our front yard.
Biggie became a well-known cat in our neighbourhood, and kids soon got to know him. We decided to call him Big Boy, or Biggie because of his size and his big heart, being chill and friendly to all that he meets whether people or other animals.
Unfortunately, Biggie recently became unwell, he was not acting his usual boisterous and vibrant self, where he would meow every morning for food. He became more and more lethargic and started drastically losing
weight. Suspecting he got some infection, I requested an emergency appointment with the vet on 23 April. I took him to Kellyville Vet clinic (Norwest Sydney area) where we saw Dr Helen Wong who examined Biggie and stated that he might have a serious infection and fluids around his lungs, which she suspects are causing his hard breathing. I was advised that he needs to stay at the hospital and that he urgently needs a number of tests amongst them a blood test, an X-ray and to place him on Intravenous (IV) therapy , antibiotics and medication for lungs, and all together estimate of roughly $3,000 for tests, medication and staying at the hospital.
Having seven rescued other cats of my own, I was unable to pay this on my own, but bought antibiotics and pills to remove excess fluids from his lungs. Right now Biggie is resting inside our house, but I need to urgently raise funds to do all the required tests and Intravenous (IV) therapy. I cannot let him go without trying my best to help this beautiful cat. I kindly ask your help. Please help us save him. Your kindness will be forever appreciated and will come back to you ten folds. Biggie will be forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.
Warm regards
