Please help us fund Mike's medical treatments

Hello cherished friends and family, my name is Martha Eleftheriou and I am sharing my husband's Michael Di Mascolo's story.

Two and half years ago, an atypical spinal menigioma was found on Mike's spine at his C7 vertebrae. The tumour fractured and dissolved his C7 and in June of 2022, he underwent a spinal fusion surgery to fix his spine and to attempt to remove the tumour. The outcome of that first surgery was his spine was fused with 8 screws but they could not completely resect the tumour as it was wrapped around nerves and arteries.

After surgery, the drs found that the tumour was growing and they recommended 35 sessions of intense radiation which Mike completed.

In October of 2022, Mike completed his radiation treatments and the tumour was stable until February of 2024.

In the spring of 2024, Mike started feeling pain again in the neck and spine. After an xray, they found two screws were broken in his spine which was making his spine collapse.

Another spinal fusion surgery was scheduled and took place August 12th of this year.

After the surgery, they fused his spine again with 18 screws and a cage was placed in his throat. They took out a small amount of tumour and sent it for pathology. We found out the tumour had turned into an aggressive malignant (cancerous) menigioma with no cure.

Today, the tumour has affected Mike's spine and has made him paralyzed within the last two weeks.

Currently, he is not able to walk, is paralyzed from the waste down as well as his left arm since surgery. The drs are telling us he has no hope but we aren't giving up which is where you come in!

We are seeking alternative treatments throughout the world including USA, Mexico and Lithuania that are very expensive. If you are able to donate a small amount to help us cover the costs of these treatments, we would be most grateful.
