Please help us help my sister and her children

On Monday 12/20/2021 Brittney was in a bad car accident.

She was driving home from the Albany area on the back roads near scio when her car hydroplaned making her lose control spinning around and causing her car to then fly to the other side of the road where she hit a grove of trees on the passenger side completely totaling her car and injuring her. Brittney had to be transported by ambulance to Salem hospital where she was treated and had to end up staying (she is still currently at the hospital, the doctor said they are hoping to get her home by Christmas but she needs to be monitored from the injuries she sustained especially the bruise on her lung).

She had to have multiple CT scans and X-rays, her injuries were as follows - fracture of the right clavicle (collar bone) fracture of the right scapula (shoulder blade) multiple lacerations that required sutures and a bruised lung.

For those of you who may not know my sister she is a 31 year old single mother of 2 she recently divorced and left her ex husband and has been trying to make a better life for herself and her children, she is living with family but does not have a room of her own, she has been sleeping on the couch. She works 2 jobs and can barely afford her bills as is.

A couple of weeks ago (right after thanksgiving) she became ill with covid and had to take 14 days unpaid off of her 2 jobs. She has only been back working for about 2 weeks and with this accident she will be out of work for at least 6 weeks if not longer for her injuries to heal properly.

Unfortunately with this accident she has been left with no car and no income she even lost her cash and ID in the wreck (we searched the car and the scene and can’t find anything).

I know that it is the holiday season and money is so tight for so many, I am just asking if you can help in a small way even just by sharing the go fund me it would be greatly appreciated.

We are beyond thankful that Brittney was not more injured or worse, the EMT’s and the doctors have continued to say just how lucky she is to have only the injuries that she has but it is still going to be a long road of recovery for her.

Brittney has so many supportive people in her life I’m hoping we can all come together and help her out with this financial burden, thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
