Please help us help Poppy, our gorgeous 5 month old puppy

Hi everyone, our names are Richelle and Em and we are fundraising for our 5 month old Boston Terrier, Poppy.

3 months ago, we rescued a sweet 13 week girl called Popcorn. She was adopted as a healthy girl who unfortunately had her eye removed at 1 month when she was surrendered by the breeders who did not seek medical attention for her. We renamed her Poppy and she fit into our household and hearts perfectly.

Unfortunately and very suddenly, we have been inundated with vet bills as Poppy has been sick. We have found out she has a grade 1 hiatal hernia as well as a corkscrew tail.

The hiatal hernia means her stomach is sliding up through to her diaphragm. Because of this, she can’t digest water and food properly. She brings it all back up. There is a risk of aspiration pneumonia and her symptoms are getting worse. This can only be corrected with specialist surgery. Without the surgery she will not live out the rest of her life.

We are trying to raise money to get Poppy’s hernia repair surgery as soon as possible as this is a priority. We have been advised the hiatal hernia repair is between 7-10k and needs to be performed soon. Any contribution would be so appreciated and would give her a fighting chance at a happy healthy life.
