Hello and thank you for reading our story! We are Tim and Karen Beaton who have very dear friends who need emergency help as they've lost their home and all their belongings.
Here is their story -
While our friend Gloriane (an amazing single mom) and her two wonderful sons Lee Allen and Kenneth were down in IL packing up Gloriane's mom to come and move in with them back in MN due to Alzheimers, Gloriane received a call from her landlord telling her her apt was destroyed due to a leak and all her household items were destroyed.
Sadly the landlord also told Gloriane that he had somehow determined that the leak came from a toilet in her apt and he told her it was somehow all her fault and he is holding her responsible for the damage caused not only to her apt but also other units and the building. The landlord informed her that all her items were destroyed as well and they will not rehouse them into another unit and in fact constructively evicted them. Gloriane has since found out it was a faulty water heater that was the actual problem, but the complex refuses to take responsibility or help Gloriana and her boys at all.
All this happened while Gloriane was picking up her elderly mother in IL. No one was in the apartment for the 3 weeks prior to the flooding.
Despite all her hardships and challenges as a single mom with a special needs child and an ailing mother Gloriane is a very loving and hard working amazing mom/daughter who loves and sacrifices for her family to give them the best life she possible can.

This is her handsome son Kenneth who just graduated from HS and is working hard to help his family and working hard towards his future!
And this is Lee Allen who is 14 and will be an 8th grader this coming year. Lee Allen is the most amazing child there is! He has severe autism and works very hard in all that he does!!

We would like to help them with rehousing costs, household items, clothes/personal needs, help Kenneth with education costs, help Lee Allen with his needs in regards to autism, help Gloriane with high costs related to her ailing mom and get them a reliable vehicle to help give them all a well deserved chance for a fresh start!
Please help us help this sweet family who have been hit hard in these already difficult times.
