Dear Family, Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,
On behalf of the Alvarez Lopez and Villegas family, this campaign has been established to support the family with funeral arrangements after an unexpected and tragic event. Miguel was arriving home when he was shot as he was exiting a vehicle on November 21, 2023. Miguel was 24 years old, and he leaves behind his only child, 4-year-old Francisco Villegas, whom he was really attached to. No child should have to grow up without their father. Any remaining funds will go towards his son, Francisco.
If you knew Miguel, you knew that he was a warm, happy, caring, and a loving soul. He brightened up your day with his huge smile, funny jokes, unforgettable bear hugs, massages, and that contagious laugh that nobody could duplicate. He always saw the good in everyone. He was always positive, regardless of the situation. He was one of a kind. He was our son, nephew, brother, dad, friend…and he will be missed dearly.
Miguel touched so many lives in his short visit with us. And now in his passing, he continued to bless other families with the wonderful gift of life. That is Miguel. Always thinking of others and wanting to help others whenever possible. To us, his family, this serves us as comfort knowing that he is still alive because he saved many lives afterlife.
We are mourning this senseless crime and as we deal with this tragic event, we humbly ask that if you can, to please help the family during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go a long way in helping us honor Miguel. There is an ongoing investigation, and we appreciate your help as we continue to learn what happened so we can heal as a family.
