Who we are:
Etre is a magazine created entirely by Mississippi State University students. We are a branch of MSU Fashion Board. A team of writers, photographers, graphic designers, stylists, and more work together to publish one issue per semester. We are passionate about sharing ideas of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle to the Starkville community and have a lot of fun doing so. We have grown from a staff of less than ten to a staff of over 50 in just four years. This year, we plan to publish 500 copies of our Spring + Summer issue, launch a website and expand our social media presence.
Why we need your help:
In past semesters, Etre has received funding from the MSU Student Association and from businesses buying ad space in our magazine. Due to a policy change, our funding from the university was cut this year. In order for us to publish an issue this year and keep growing to reach a wider audience, we need your help!
Why you should help:
Etre is not only a fun, creative space for students to express themselves but also an incredible learning experience. Students interested in pursuing fashion get hands-on experience styling and organizing photo shoots. Students interested in editorial writing and graphic design get experience and published work. Photographers get to work with MSU Fashion Board models, who also gain experience in front of the camera. All students also learn skills such as leadership, working well with a team, creativity, and organization. Students leave with a greater understanding of the Mississippi State community and with new friends. All students involved leaving with plenty of material to use in a portfolio or resume; as well as getting a physical copy of their work is very rewarding. We need your help to allow the Etre team to grow as individuals and as a team!
Etre will be published on April 17, 2019. It will be available to the Starkville community and online for our out of town audience. Any donation amount helps us reach our goal. We appreciate all of your support and cannot say THANK YOU enough!! Please check out our new site!
