Please help us rebuild animal shelters after the storm

Donation protected

It’s hard to believe that once more we have to fundraise for our beautiful animals! Storm Darragh ripped through our farm on Saturday, trashing our animal shelters, gates and fence posts and bringing down the electricity. As of now 09:39 9th Dec we are still without electricity. It’s been an exceptionally cold and miserable few days for both animals and humans.

To repair our shelters and fencing we need to fundraise desperately! Once we have electricity we can fix the shelters ourselves but we need to buy wood, roof panels and fixings, as well as hiring machinery. None of which we can afford at the slowest time of the year in a cost of living crisis.

Many of our animals are rescues - goats, sheep, llamas, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and many more. We must get their homes safely back to normal as soon as possible before the worst of winter sets in.

We are totally family run and rely 100% on income generated from the farm. We run a care farm for young people with additional needs, providing much needed outdoor animal therapy. We’re also a volunteer base for many people who are unable to work due to mental health or additional needs. We also offer student work placements to train youngsters who wish to work with rescue animals. Our reach is wide and our animals are central to all we do and care for.

We know money is tight for everyone but if anyone can help, in anyway, we would be so very grateful. You can read all about us on Facebook - just search for Middle England Farm Alpacas, we're based between Henley in Arden and Redditch in Warwickshire. You’ll see lots of photos of our beautiful animals, lots of happy visitors and our lovely alpacas visiting care homes and bringing joy to people with additional needs across the area. Our animals bring so much happiness to so many people.

I know some people hate donating through these pages so if you want to help privately please let me know! Thank you so much in advance!

P.S If you're unable to donate we totally understand, please share our fundraiser on your social media instead. Or perhaps think ahead and buy a gift voucher for a loved one for happier times? You can buy these on our website.

However you can help we are most grateful. Stay safe and we hope to see you on the farm when this is all over. Thank you so very much indeed.
