Please help us save our neighborhood

Hello! We are 125 homeowners living in Rancho Mirage, CA. We just found out that the City of Rancho Mirage is planning on authorizing an In-N-Out burger restaurant right near our neighborhood. The nearest home is 153 ft away but many more of us are directly affected. While many of us love these burgers and think the business model is a worthy one, we DO NOT want this fast food restaurant in our neighborhood. Here's a photo you can see here:
This commercial lot is not zoned for a fast food drive thru restaurant. They want to change the zoning to allow for it.
When we dug a little further we discovered that the City is making some plans for yet another fast food restaurant in the same area, if the zoning change is passed. We also found out they did their traffic study at the peak of summer, where days are often 120 degrees and no one is here. And, their noise study was performed at 7 am. We think the City needs to pause and reassess the situation. See the city council hearing here: https://youtu.be/YiXw9EVYUbw (go to 41:17)
Please help us! The next city council meeting is THURSDAY OCTOBER 3rd, 2019 where they will vote to allow the project to proceed, continue it, or stop the planning process. We have been to multiple hearings, have gotten the news channels involved, have met one-on-one with the City Mayor, council members, had numerous homeowner meetings and circulated petitions. Nothing is having an effect.
WE NEED AN ATTORNEY NOW. Can you help fund this? Any amount would help us start the legal process and the community would be forever grateful. This will affect our property values and many of us have put our life savings into our beautiful homes. Help us defend ourselves and our community.
