Please help us save our puppy Cooper
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Melissa and I have started this fundraiser in hopes that we can save our puppy Cooper. We received Cooper last Friday, we adopted him from Arkansas. He came to us neutered with all of his shots and we were thrilled to have the perfect puppy. On Tuesday he started showing signs of being lethargic. Then Wednesday he was vomiting and had diarrhea. I took him to Bulger emergency room and got the necessary tests done along with fluids and antibiotics. He was diagnosed with parvo virus. I was presented with the option of admitting him for the next few days which gives him the best chance of survival at 80%. That would cost 4-$7,000, or take him home and do out patient care with a survival rate of 50%. Not being able to afford that much money, so I took him home to try to care for him the best of my abilities. I'm back at the emergency room today with the same symptoms as before. There are no veterinary clinics near me that will do outpatient care at this time. So I will continue to fight for him and keep taking him to the emergency room. I want to be able to try to give him a chance at a long life with our family. I normally would never ask for help from anybody but considering the circumstances I need this puppy to make it. Last week we put down our cat of 17 years. He had watched my family grow and was the best cat in the entire world. I was so heartbroken I got a puppy to try to soothe my family sorrows and now I have to tell my 4 children that their new puppy most likely won't make it without hospitalization. I know it's a long shot but if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have to give it this my all. Thank you for taking the time and reading this. If you can't make a donation just please say a prayer and share this I can use all the help I can get.
