Please help us save these street dogs in Thailand!

Hello, we are Rod and Jewells. We are originally from Australia but we now live in Thailand. For nearly five years now we've been going to a secluded public pier here in the south of Koh Samui to help feed and care for over eighty street dogs that have found themselves dumped at this location over the years.

These dogs have become like family to us.

Unfortunately, this public pier and the surrounding area are now being redeveloped. Clearing of nearby land and upgrades have already begun.

We have spoken to locals involved in the redevelopment and we have been told in no uncertain terms that a majority of these wonderful and friendly dogs need to be relocated - or else.

All of us here know exactly what the phrase 'or else' means in Thailand :(

The only viable option right now to help save these poor dogs from being poisoned is for us to rent some secluded land and quickly build some dog proof fences around it.

We have found the land! Now we just need your help moving forward and making this urgent fencing work happen so we can relocate and save these dogs asap.

What we are hoping to achieve thru this fundraiser?

If we can successfully get this project built, we wholeheartedly encourage anyone, and everyone, who has donated to please come visit all of us in the near future, so you can meet for yourselves the dogs YOU all helped save and see what your support has achieved here on Koh Samui.

Our ultimate goal is to adopt as many of these 'pier' dogs to forever homes overseas.

And once some of these pier dogs have found forever homes and numbers drop at our facility, we also intend to use this place as a foster area for other dogs all around Samui that need somewhere safe to stay whilst they also complete their export paperwork.

Jewells and I are more than happy to answer any inquiries you might have - and we also intend to post regular updates once the fence building starts.

Sadly, time is running out for these dogs at the pier.
