PLEASE HELP US SAVE THIS HISTORIC HOME!!!

In 2015, the previous owners abandoned this magnificent home, leaving it empty and susceptible to trespassers, urban explorers, squatters, vagrants, and the merely curious, who showed no regard for the property. Some intruders took the opportunity to steal, damage, and vandalize the once glorious residence.

Approximately three years ago, I first encountered this home and felt a strong connection to it. Despite not being wealthy, I was driven by a deep passion to rescue this property. In 2023, I decided to take the leap and purchased the home, convinced of its value. I believe it has much to offer in terms of beauty and history. My objective in acquiring this home is to restore it to its original state and honor its century-long history as a funeral parlor. I aspire to open it to the community, allowing everyone to appreciate its charm and historical significance.

The journey so far has required substantial effort and resources. From a new roof to repairing wiring, plumbing, and floors, to cleaning up the mess left by squatters, the expenses have reached approximately $100,000. The initial roof replacement alone exceeded the budget at $60,000. Subsequent tasks involved replacing deteriorated flooring and addressing damages caused by intruders.

While progress has been made in the past two months, there is still much to do before opening the property to the community. Unfortunately, the restoration pace is expected to slow due to limited funds. I am reaching out for any assistance, whether in the form of monetary contributions or volunteer support.

All contributions directly support the Holliday House Restoration Project under Raven Historical Preservation, LLC. Donations are tax-deductible. I established Raven Historical Preservation LLC specifically for this property, creating a separate entity with its own financial responsibilities. Your support will play a crucial role in preserving this historical gem for future generations.
