Please Help Us Support Belinda Flores!

Belinda Flores experienced a life-altering accident on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 when an enjoyable day of cycling with her husband Mike turned into an unexpected accident and an unknown prognosis of healing. After Belinda's multiple injuries from the accident, she was transferred to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO where she was diagnosed with multiple spinal fractures, a lacerated liver, other multiple internal injuries, and a severe concussion resulting in traumatic brain injury. Belinda was treated in the intensive care unit for two days before moving to a trauma recovery center where she remains at this time for treatment.

While things have stabilized for Belinda, she has good and bad days and her physical and mental improvement remains a slow and painful process. She will need to wear a back brace for 6 months or more to stabilize her spine while the fractures heal, and she will be engaging in daily physical and occupational therapy for this timeframe, at minimum. She will be working with physical and occupational therapists, her physician care team, and her husband Mike to regain her strength and the ability to perform her activities of daily living. The most important of which is working in her privately-owned home cleaning business and caring for her beautiful horses which is what her husband Mike describes as "Belinda's life."

The timeline of Belinda's recovery is unknown, her household income will be greatly impacted by her inability to work, and these challenges will be combined with the heaviness of ongoing medical care expenses. Her family and friends are humbly reaching out and asking if you can please help us build a fund to assist Belinda and her husband Mike that will assist in covering the cost of the medical treatment she needs to recover. Please help us lighten this load of financial worry for Belinda and Mike so that she can return mentally and physically to her passion for her business and caring for her beloved horses.
