Please help us support our Tia Marleni

Hello, everyone! My name is Betty, niece of Rosa, who a lot of people know as Marleni. My aunt never married or had children, but was there to help my mom raise my brother and I, therefore I’m opening this page on her behalf.

Last year, my aunt was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis that rapidly progressed causing her liver and kidneys to fail. Her body and mind endured so much - from mass water retention to harmful toxins deteriorating her mental state. With many long-term (in and out) stays in the hospital our family did not know how long we had with our Tia Marleni.

With the grace of God in July we got word that Marleni was being transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. There she received a liver transplant and is currently on dialysis awaiting a kidney transplant.

Marleni has been a selfless, loving, and a caring person who has impacted many people throughout her life. Even sick, she would always think of others before herself! Her faith in God, and the loving support of her family and friends has kept her strong throughout this long journey to recovery.

Marleni is being cared for by us, her family, and we are asking for donations to help the increasing amount of debt being incurred and also to continue to help care for her while she still awaits her kidney transplant.
