On December 12th Sarah received a grueling bone marrow transplant. The transplant left her with a significantly weakened immune system and in need of hospitalization. For a month, Sarah stayed in isolation, during which time she received several diffucult treatments including a week long round of chemotherapy, radiation and several blood and platelet transfusions. Sarah has returned home, but her healing journey is long from over. Her immune system is still severely compromised and she has many weeks of doctors appointments, transfusions and other health visits still ahead.

Sarah Madigan has been a part of the Elysian Hair Spa team for 5 years.

Starting her career in 2017 as a shampoo assistant, Sarah put hard work and determination to task and quickly evolved to stylist. These last few years we have enjoyed watching her develop her skills and grow into a talented senior stylist. Sarah can be found on the Elysian floor creating beautiful hair colors and styles, as well as teaching and helping others hone their own skills.

This year Sarah has experienced some health issues. After several visits to the doctor and a biopsy we were given the awful news that Sarah has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Very soon, Sarah will be starting 6 months of chemotherapy treatments.
