Please help us to save our 207 year old windmill.

Hello, my name is Adrian and I am fundraising for Willingdon/Polegate windmill. It was built in 1817 by Joseph Seymour and was a true windmill until 1943 when an engine was used to power one set of stones. It ceased working in 1965 and was purchased by our charity for £1000. It was renovated in the 1980s with lottery money but has since been ravaged by the wind and rain and is in a poor state.
The huge timbers that support the heavy machinery have had to be propped up due to them rotting at the ends. The fantail was in a bad state and has been rebuilt by our millwright but we can't afford to pay him to resecure it at present. This fundraiser is to help us to keep it safe until some major funding is forthcoming but that could be years.
If you search for "Polegate windmill" on Facebook you will be able to see the amazing machinery still inside. It's as if the last miller has closed the door and gone home!
Thank you for reading this...
