Please Help Vicki Battle Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Brett, and I'm writing this on behalf of my mother, Vicki.

On January 4th, 2022, Vicki was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer that requires extensive treatment to prevent it from reoccurring in the future. Currently, the treatment plan includes 24 weeks of chemotherapy, beginning Tuesday, March 1st, followed by a lumpectomy or possible mastectomy, then radiation therapy.

While Vicki maintains a very positive attitude and has a strong resolve to fight through this, we are all aware that she has a long road ahead of her physically, mentally, and financially. Not only is the cost of her treatment unbelievably expensive, but so is the cost of her health insurance, and the insurance company has already denied a few tests that her oncologist strongly felt she needed.

Creating a GoFundMe was not an easy decision to reach, as we are acutely aware of how many people are struggling financially right now, but the reality is that she needs help- the bills are already piling up. Ultimately, we decided on the goal amount based on the cost of her deductible ($7,500), as well as the likelihood of her being unable to work during the last 12 weeks of more intensive chemotherapy.

Simply put, Vicki is our world. She is a beloved mother, wife, sister, cousin, and a friend to all. We would be endlessly grateful to receive any amount of assistance during this challenging time; however, if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends and family.
