Please help Walter Butler fight Cancer
Donation protected
Those that know Walter, know that he has a heart of gold. He is a dedicated father to his six children/stepchildren, a lover of all creatures and passionate about nature. At the end of April, Walter and his family received the news he had a very aggressive Adenocarcinoma form of Cancer. On May 15th a very intrusive 12-hour “Whipple” surgery was done to remove the cancer. Since the procedure, there has been a series of setbacks putting Walter back in and out of the hospital. Once Walter fully recovers from surgery, he will need to begin about 4 months of Chemo. Hopes are that he will be able to start the Chemo treatments by the end of August.
Unmanageable Medical bills are piling up fast on top of the family's regular expenses. Walter was self-employed which is causing some challenges in receiving disability from the state. His wife Alison needs to care for him due to dramatic weight loss, pain, loss of appetite and weakness. Through FMLA she is unable to collect 100% of her pay. The costs of medication, continued health insurance and uncovered hospital stays are astronomical. Please consider donating to the family if Walter has ever made you smile, laugh or touched your heart in any way. The family is too humble to ask for help, but they surely need it. Every bit helps and will surely be appreciated.
