Please Help! We Need Help Getting a New Apartment

Hi my name is David. I have never done one of these and frankly I'm ashamed I have to but I'm desperate. My wife and I can no longer afford the place we are currently renting. We are looking at moving into a 1 bedroom apartment in a not great part of town that we can actually afford the rent on. Problem is we can't afford the fees for moving into this place. I have done the math and even if we don't eat for the rest of the month we are still about $400 short. We have adjusted pretty much everything we can think of to help save money. We've adjusted our benefits at work. Including cutting my 401K and putting us both on the cheapest insurance plans available. We've cut out pretty much all non-essentials, including both of us quitting smoking. We are at our wits end trying to find ways to save money.

I recently came back from a Leave of Absence at work and unfortunately the job protection part of my FMLA ran out so I had to take whatever was available. Unfortunately this also meant taking a $20,000/year pay cut. I am currently working a couple of different options to get a better paying job so that this never happens again. One option is within the company I work for and a couple of them are outside the company.

I have burned a lot of bridges in the last couple of years or so for my behavior. A couple of those bridges were pretty important ones too. I own it and I accept the consequences for my actions. However, this means that I don't really have anyone to ask for help and the couple of people I can ask for help it comes with conditions. Conditions that I am not willing to agree to. I have friends that might be able to donate a couple of bucks but most of them are in the same situation or similar that I am in.

With all that said, please help me, my wife, and our two little fur babies keep from having to live out of our car during the Southern Arizona Summer. Anything helps. Thank you!
