Please help while Drew is recovery from surgery

Drew and Corey are the parents of 5 young children. Drew is the sole provider for the family while Corey is in college. Drew has had minor reflux challenges in the past, but on Friday September 1st, Drew had just arrived home from work and had a reflux emergency that led to him choking and vomiting blood. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance where he underwent a 4-hour long surgery to repair a tear in his esophagus and cleaned his chest cavity as his esophagus tear allowed entry of food and stomach acid to his chest. He currently is in ICU with a g-tube, feeding tube, drain tubes, and many new incisions. Physicians are being proactive to avoid pneumonia and/or blood clots. His surgeon said that this is one of the most severe tears they have ever seen. Drew’s mother has flown to be with the family and to help care for their children, as well to have shift changes with Corey so that Drew is not alone during visiting hours. Drew is expected to be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks, after the time spent in the hospital he will spend 6-12 weeks at home, unable to work.

Bills are inevitable, and do not stop when one is in the hospital. Drew does not have paid time off or enough sick time to pay to keep a roof over their heads and to keep the lights on. Any raised funds will go directly to Corey who will ensure bills are paid for, this alone will decrease the stress upon the family, and especially Drew, as a decrease in stress is necessary to heal. Anything, big or small, is greatly appreciated more than there are words. If you cannot contribute, please feel free to share or even pray for a healthy, speedy recovery, and healing for Drew.
