Please Help with Momena's Medical Costs

Update: On behalf of myself and my family, I want to express my sheer awe and gratitude for everyone who has donated, prayed, spread awareness about what happened to my sister. On May 1, 2023 my little sister took her last breath with her siblings and husband by her side. She fought so hard. The Go Fund Me has helped make a dent in the stack of bills incurred during the last 6 months and her funeral. However the bills keep coming. So I’ll keep the fund open for those who might be in a position to offer additional donations. We thank everyone for their support, and everyone’s contribution brings touching relief for those who survive her.
Hi, my name is Palwasha, and I want to share the story of a beautiful and loving woman. Someone who embodies strength and resilience. She's in desperate need of prayers, duas and support. Her name is Momena Sharwani, and she's my sister.
Momena has dedicated her life to caring for others. As a physical therapist to young children, Momena provided personal treatment for countless kids in need across the Houston area.
On October 29, 2022, Momena suffered a traumatic hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 35. This occurred 12 days after giving birth to a healthy baby boy. The impact should have been fatal, but Momena has fought tremendously for the past 6 months to recover. Momena underwent emergency surgeries, had her skull flap removed and fought various infections throughout this process.
Despite multiple appeals to her insurance company, Momena was denied additional medical care and sent home. This has been devastating for us all as we work to provide the care she needs in this perilous situation. The expenses are enormous and much has been paid out of pocket.
Momena's injuries and the inadequate attention she received as a postpartum mom is a reason why maternal mortality rates remain high, especially in Texas. This could have been prevented, and I want other families and expectant parents to know that if a mom thinks something is wrong, she must be heard and she must be treated. Momena complained about chronic headaches after delivering her child, and her OBGYN recommended Tylenol.
I'm asking you for help. These funds would be utilized to help with the costs of Momena's care. Any support would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
