Please help with Nora Sanborn's Medical expenses

Hello friends family and other caring people my name is Deborah Garcia and last Thursday September 7, 2023 I was in the kitchen at work heating up my lunch when a co-worker said my daughter was on the phone. I went back to my office, and she was no longer on the phone and I saw that I had missed several calls from both daughters. I knew right then something was wrong so I called her back and she was so upset and told me what happened to my 6-month-old granddaughter Nora. A little later I received a call from my daughter Paija, and she said they were life flighting Nora to Sacred heart and Ashley wanted me there. I immediately left work and headed to her. Ashleys husband Joey with the help of his employer SYSCO foods was able to fly home from Denver that night as he was at a week long training for work. This is my daughter Ashley’s post that evening as we sat in Noras room at Sacred Heart.

Today around 1:00 this afternoon Nora fell off of our kitchen counter onto the floor. I put her down for 2 seconds to help Presley get her popcorn. I made sure to set her back just in case. After picking her up and cuddling with her, I noticed she had a dent on her head so Paija and I rushed her to the ER. Once we got to the ER, they checked her out and did a CAT scan just to make sure everything was ok. The nurses told me they figured I would be just going home since everything seems good and Nora was happy and smiling. Unfortunately the doctor came in and let us know that she had a depressed skull fracture and a small, subdural, bleed. We were flown from KMC to Sacred Heart, where we are now. I’m waiting to meet with the pediatric Neuro team to get the full plan, but as of now we have surgery sometime tomorrow to help fix the dent. So far everyone has reassured me that things look great and she’s acting normal. Joey has been in Denver for work so he is on his way right now. Please keep my sweet baby in your prayers. I feel like the worst person in the whole world.

Nora had surgery the following morning on her skull where they cut a 2" circle piece of her skull and clean out any blood behind it. they had to pop the dent in her skull and close it. Thanks to the wonderful Staff and Surgeon Nora is doing great.

I am setting up this go fund me for Ashley and Joey because Joey is the only income of the household. So far as of today with only a few charges so far being sent to their insurance company for life flight that is $ 40,758.00 and only the ER visit at KMC and the Doctor who saw her there and a couple of other things is already over $90,000.00. This does not include any charges from Sacred Heart for the Pediatric ICU stay, Emergency Brain/Skull Surgery, 2 CAT Scans or anything else for their time at the hospital I feel like it will be more like $300,000.00 to $500,000.00 after all the bills are billed. Even if insurance covers some or most there are still going to be costs for their portion and they are unsure if the Life Flight is covered at all. I have never done one of these before and I will help with whatever I can, but I know Ashley probably better than most people and for her to give me permission to do this after I asked is huge they have enough stress right now and how they are going to pay for all of this medical should not be something they have to worry about. Ashley is a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls Presley and Nora and she is such a good mama. Ashley is very prideful and has never asked for anything from us or anyone else. I put an amount on there and I have no Idea if it is realistic, and I want everyone to know that even $5.00 will help going towards paying for these costs. Nora is healing and just as happy as she always has been. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they go through this. Thank you so much for anything you may be able to spare.
