Please help with the expense of fighting cancer.

Hello. We are the sisters and family of Denise Baer. In late September, Denise was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. As a single mother and the sole support of her family, this was her very worst nightmare.
With strength and grace she has completed 5 1/2 months of chemotherapy and had surgery earlier this month. While the chemotherapy was successful in resolving the tumor it did not have the desired affect on the lymph nodes. She underwent a lumpectomy and a complete axillary node dissection which is a fancy term for the removal of 10 nodes. Unfortunately, they all contain disease. We are still waiting on pathology and a determination as to what is next. We know that there will be 30-50 consecutive days of radiation, a few months of immunotherapy and depending on the pathology the possibility of more chemotherapy. We are obviously praying for the best case scenario.
While she is a fighter and has worked when she can, she is unable to take on the workload necessary to stay afloat. She has tried desperately not to ask for help, taking on small jobs with reasonable deadlines. Unfortunately, in a perfect storm of circumstances the entertainment industry’s strike has made matters worse with those jobs becoming fewer and farther between. Her situation has become overwhelming.
Therefore, today, we as a family are reaching out for help. She is 3 months behind on her rent and is afraid that while he has been understanding, her landlord is losing his patience. This in turn, causes stress and the loss of much needed healing rest.
Please help if you are able Thank you, Family of Denise Baer
UPDATE 23 JULY 2023
It is with sadness and resolve that we give you the following update, as written by Denise:
First off, I would like to thank all of you that have donated, shared, or sent words of encouragement. You have filled my heart.
I figured this is the easiest way to update everyone. I’ve had excruciating back pain for nearly 2 weeks which brought me to the ER on Saturday. I’ve since been admitted. Looks like the cancer has metastasized in a short six weeks since my last PET scan, which came back clear. Hopefully I’ll meet with my doctors today and get a plan in place. I will take all the prayers and all the good vibes you guys can muster. I’ll admit, I’m a little scared. My thanks and love to you all. ♥️♥️♥️
