Please Help Yeabsira Hiwot Beat Aplastic Anemia

Yeabsira Hiwot Romeseged is a bubbly, affectionate and beautiful 6-year-old boy. He lights up any room that he is in and brings so much joy to anyone around him. Yeabsira was recently diagnosed with a rare and serious blood disorder called Aplastic Anemia. In people who have Aplastic Anemia, the body doesn't make enough red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This happens because the normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) are replaced by abnormal fat cells. Currently, Yeabsira has to endure multiple blood transfusions each month to replace his low blood cell counts. His doctors have recommended a hematopoietic stem cell transplant to successfully treat and possibly cure his condition. Unfortunately, this type of specialized treatment is not available in Ethiopia. His doctors recommended, and the country’s Medical Board approved, that Yeabsira should travel abroad for proper diagnosis and treatment. However, the type of treatment is VERY expensive and could cost over $40,000. His parents don’t have the financial means to cover Yeabsira’s medical and travel expenses.

ህጻን የአብስራ ህይወት ሮምሰገድ፤ ዕድሜው 6 ዓመት ሲሆን፣ ላለፉት 11 ወራቶች ባጋጠመው የመቅኔ የደም ሴሎች አለማመንጨት ህመም (Aplastic Anemia) የተነሳ ባፍና በአፍንጫው የከፍተኛ ደም መፍሰስ ምክንያት ትምህርቱን አቋርጦ በጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል ህክምናውን ሲከታተል ቆይቷል። በእነዚህም ወራቶች ደሙ ለምርመራ በሀገር ውስጥ ባሉ ላቦራቶሪዎች ጨምሮ ወደ ዱባይና ህንድ ተልኮም የተገኘው ውጤት የደም ሴሎች አለማመንጨት ህመም (Aplastic Anemia) በመሆኑ በጥቁር አንበሳ ስፔሻላይድ ሆስፒታል ሀኪሞች የሜዲካል ቦርድ ለከፍትኛ ምርመራ ወደ ውጭ ሀገር ሄዶ እንዲታከም የሜዲካል ቦርድ ሰርተፍኬት ተሰጥቶታል፡፡ ወጪውም በአሜሪካን ዶላር $40,000 (አርባ ሺህ ዶላር) ሲሆን በወላጆቹ አቅም የሚቻል ባለመሆኑ የወገኖቹን ዕርዳታ ይፈልጋል፡፡ የህጻን የአብስራ ህይወት ሮምሰገድን ህይወት ለመታደግ ይህ የ”Gofundme” አካውንት ተከፍቷል፡፡
