Please Help Your Favorite Checker Stay In Chester

My name is Amanda Forbes-Leavy. I am your favorite grocery checker that you've come to love (so I've been told numerous times!)

I was born and raised in Chester, CA, and grew up with many of you locals. I have been there for you throughout the years, and now, I am hoping I can depend on you to help me in this dire time of my life.

As many of you know, I have been a devoted Mother to two wonderful boys that are now grown. Then, I became the doting and caring caretaker for my ailing Mother. My Mom passed away in November 2021. She was my EVERYTHING. I still find it hard to face a day without her by my side. Tragedy struck again in April 2022, when my best friend, my cousin, suddenly died, as well. The loss has been debilitating, and the desire to go on has only come from my Faith and daily affirmations.

Suffering through the horrific loss has been challenging, to say the least. Then, all the financial responsibilities hit. My childhood/family home was taken away. Suddenly, I was left without a place to stay. Had it not been through the grace of supportive friends, I would've been on the streets.

Now I am faced, once again, with the need to find housing, post haste! I only have a few weeks to accomplish this task. There are NO houses to rent in the Chester area. My hometown and where I currently work is the only place I wish to be.

Working as a checker, you can imagine, I don't make much money. But I am incredibly dependable and will do my best to make my dream of staying in my beloved Chester, come true.

I am reaching out to my dear community, friends, and supporters to assist me in buying my forever home so that I can remain where I belong.
