Please help Zelda & Iron Dog Rescue
Zelda was diagnosed at a small Sydney vet clinic suffering from a tetanus infection . Without the means to treat at the clinic Zelda had to be transferred to a vet hospital. Iron Dog Rescue took an urgent call for help and stepped in to save a dog they had never even met!
Zelda was rescued by an individual earlier this year after seeing her in poor condition being left to “guard” a warehouse .Zelda was desexed and rehomed by her rescuer .
Unfortunately a nasty bug called Clostridium tetani found Zelda’s desex wound and decided to move in . This bacteria is common in the general environment. No fault of adopter …..wrong place, wrong time near a nasty bacteria.
Tetanus is commonly fatal if left untreated. Her adopter was a well meaning pensioner and simply didn’t have funds available. Vetpay was not an option as they require a 20% deposit and charge interest at 18.4%. Iron Dog paid the required ARH deposit so Zelda could get the urgent treatment she needed.
Zelda, has just been released into Iron Dog care with the bill currently at 12k. This has left the rescue in the red with no funds left to care for Zelda or the other dogs.
Any donation, no matter how small will help beautiful Rottie girl Zelda & the amazingly selfless team at Iron Dog Rescue.
