Please donate to help Zeus get TTA knee surgery

Hello friends and family,

 

My Zeusy dog is experiencing a serious knee injury and is in need of a major surgery.

 

It is not easy to ask for financial help, but I am hoping that support from friends and family will help us to be able to get Zeus the surgery he needs.

 

Zeus is my 9yr old American Staffordshire Terrier. He is my Emotional Support Animal. He is a loved member of my family and the sweet nephew dog to all of my friends. Zeus is what makes my house a home.

 

Zeus is currently enduring a ruptured CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) of the knee joint in his left rear leg. He is a big, strong and stout dog (about 90lbs of steel,  thunder, and lightning) and is currently carrying all of his weight on only three legs, putting his other (right rear) knee at risk of injury too.

Surgery is required for him to be able to walk normally again and will allow him to bear his weight and be able to run again too. Recovery from this injury requires a TPLO (Tibia Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) or TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) orthopedic surgery. After taking him to the emergency veterinarian and getting x-rays, I had to get him an appointment for surgery as soon as possible.

 

We got lucky and were able to secure an appointment for a TTA surgery two weeks out! Unfortunately, I do not have pet insurance (most certainly will after this), so I will have to pay out of pocket for his medical care.

 

As a full time student, I am not able to afford this crucial surgery on my own, so I am asking for the support of my community to help get Zeusy the care he needs!

 

I incurred an $873 vet bill taking him to the emergency to get x-rays and have been quoted $4,100 for the TTA surgery and necessary medications. I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to help cover these costs.
