Please Help Zorawar Travel Home

Last year on July 6, 2023, Zorawar Bahia, started suffering from severe seizure activity. It started in one side of his brain, which led him to lose all use on one side of his body. He was hospitalized for 4.5 months at this time.

This year the seizure activity has spread to the other side of his brain, and he has now lost use of his whole body. He has been diagnosed with a Mitochondrial Disorder, along with Rasmussen’s Encephalitis, Optic Atrophy, Seizures, Status Epilepticus and Deveopmental Delays. He cannot sit, as he has almost no mobility. He is nourished through a food pipe. He has currently been hospitalized for over 2 months. The sudden and unexpected onset of his illness has left his family devastated.

His family, originally from Brampton had moved out to Edmonton just last year where Zorawar unfortunately fell ill. His mom is unable to work as Zorawar is in hospital and requires 24 hour care. They are trying to move back to Brampton where they have more family support.

Zorawar will require a medical air ambulance to travel from Edmonton to Brampton. He is unable to travel on a commercial flight as he is unable to sit. The best quote we have been able to find is for $65000 CAD.
