Please Kokua Lahaina resident Mireya Disher!

Aloha, my name is Claudia Vasquez and I am fundraising for my dear friend sistah of 45 years. I have known Mireya since 1978, and I also when I live on Maui for ten years. Mireya and I are very close and might as well be sisters. She lived on Luakini Street in the middle, in the pico, of Lahaina. One block from Front St., in Ground Zero. She ran out of the inferno with only her clothes on her back and burns on her arms, in the midst of the blaze!!

Mireya, a single mom, raised her children in Lahaina, and participated in community for forty years. She works presently serving breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel, (when it reopens and her burns heal). It is going to be a long while for all of Maui to recover. As of now, Mireya is suffering from the shock as so many who are from this special town. This has been a hardship for all, I ask for help so she can find a place to live and pay her bills. Everything she owned is gone. Please help my dearest friend who is in desperate need.
