Hi I’m Konnie and I’m trying to help raise funds for beautiful little Layla and her family who are going through a really tough time. Please take a moment to read about Layla and her condition. 

UPDATE - Layla has had her scans and is now having a nice break at home with mummy. I just wanted to thank everyone who has shared and tried helping support in anyway! 

She’s doing great & so far no more flights are needed! Or too much more travel. 

Our beautiful girl Layla was born prematurely at 35 weeks. We have stayed in hospital for the past three weeks going in between burnie and Launceston hospital for multiple different tests. We have recently just found out that Layla has been diagnosed with Digeorge Syndrome. This syndrome can affect the liver, cause severe heart defects, immune deficiency, speech and other development issues in the future. It hasn’t been easy after spending 2 months in Hobart prior to her being born and my partner not being able to work as often as he would. Due to Laylas diagnoses we have been asked to fly to Melbourne next Tuesday for further tests to be done. This was very short notice and after the journey we have had, while not being able to be in our own home, has cost us a lot. In the midst of it all, we have also had to worry about my other little one who is missing out on seeing us.
