Hello,

My name is Emily McGinley; I am reaching out in hopes of gaining some support for my family! In 2006, my siblings and I suffered the traumatic experience of losing our Mother to the battle of addiction. At the time, I was eight years old, my sister Erin was six, and my brother Michael was just two years old. It was then up to my Father, Bill McGinley to step up to the plate and take on the role of a now full-time single dad raising three young children on his own. Yet, against some odds, that’s just what he did. My dad has devoted his life to raising my siblings and me. With the incredible support from our loving family members and close friends, My dad has always been able to support us in a healthy, happy (at times crazy) environment that we truly needed. It wasn’t always easy, but my dad still says to this day how he needed us as much as we needed him. On May 1st, 2022, My Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He has since been undergoing chemotherapy treatments every two weeks with no end in sight as the cancer has spread into his lungs. Although it is not curable, it is treatable. However, these treatments are taking a toll on his physical ability to continue working. My dad has always taken pride in working hard his entire life. While balancing work to being a single parent of 3, saving money had already been a struggle for my dad, even prior to his recent diagnosis. As of recently and as his Cancer has progressed, My dad hasn’t been able to work at all, leaving any money he did manage to save over the years to disappear quickly, which has taken a significant toll on his finances. Through this Go Fund Me page, any and all funds raised would go directly towards my dad’s medical bills, and any leftover funds would go towards any household bills that are currently accumulating. On behalf of my dad, my siblings and myself, Our family would be forever grateful for any and all support. It would help us tremendously during this time of need. Thank you and God Bless!
