Please help support Cathy during this devastating time. Her husband, Rich O`Brien passed away on February 9th. He was a beloved husband, brother, son, friend, and co-worker. He had the best laugh and everyone around him knew how wonderful he was. He was an amazing friend to many including his co-workers (team) at Temple University Hospital. His entire team loved him and his patients loved him.
I asked some of his nurse teammates to say a few words about him....
Amy- Whether you worked with Rich for one day or one and a half years he was a person you would never forget. He was larger than life both physically and in personality and he put both to good use. He was always ready with one of his famous bear hugs, some ridiculous comment to make you laugh, a shoulder for you to lean on. He was also the first one to offer assistance with difficult assignments, manpower to ambulate patients, so many day to day tasks that Rich just made enjoyable or easier to deal with.
Jennifer PcA-I would.just like to say rich was a great co worker and I am so happy I had a chance to meet him. Everytime we worked together no matter the type of day we were having he always lifted my spirits up and he was so funny .Rich had a wonderful sense of humor and was always cracking jokes and I loved it. He will truly be missed .
Christina RN- There are those that pass through our lives for only a short time. However, the imprint they mark when leaving us, is everlasting. Rich’s presence still exists and will not be forgotten. Not by me, not by so many. This is grace during loss.
Claudia Pca-Can you put that rich was a gentle giant who was so kind hearted when ever we needed him he would come running. He was more than a co worker he was family. This job won't be the same without him. Put something like that in there if you can. Thank you.
Riya-Our unit was blessed to have been able to work with Rich. We have a pretty great team on our floor, and Rich was one of the people who made it so great. As a new nurse, he was so kind, as he is with everyone, and was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer advice when I needed some reassurance. I think of the thousands of lives Rich has impacted over the course of his career and add my own name to that list. He was a light and I am honored to have been able to work with him.
JESLIN-
Rich was a kind soul whose presence would light up any room he would walk into. Even though I was new there, he took the time to always greet me and show me kindness and I’ll never forget his spirt. I’m glad I was able to meet him for the short time I did. May he rest in peace❤️.
