You’re Invited to The Dahlia Drive

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

As many of you know, my daughter Dahlia has been hospitalized for complications with Epilepsy & Crohns Disease. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, both emotionally and financially, as we focus on her health and well-being.

With the challenges of a prolonged hospital stay, and as her conditions are worsening, our expenses are quickly adding up. Your generous donations will help cover:

• Lodging and meals while living inpatient with Dahlia. When she is admitted, due to her Autism and Behavioral Health, she cannot be alone in a hospital or facility. So I move in with her to ensure adequate communication and advocacy for her special needs until she is discharged.

• Travel to the new hospital in Cleveland, OH-about 2 hours from home. We are currently inpatient in the ICU and once discharged, we will be traveling back and forth to the hospital, for testing and follow up appointments. Travel needs include gas, tolls and parking.

• Daily expenses: With our attention focused on Dahlia’s health journey, I am on FMLA from work, but still have family at home. We are facing the added strain of everyday bills such as groceries, utilities, and household needs.

Even by simply sharing this —means the world to us and brings us one step closer to ensuring Dahlia has everything she needs to recover.

Our goal had to increase because my FMLA leave time had to be extended. Dahlia's treatments are now said to be up to 18 treatments and her hospitalization may be from 2-4 weeks, depending on how she responds to them.
