For those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing my niece, Deborah Anderson Balak, you are already familiar with her incredible resilience and her unwavering dedication as a loving single mother to her son, MJ. Life has thrown its fair share of challenges her way, and she has always faced them with strength and determination.

However, today, Deborah is confronting her most challenging adversary yet. Recently, she received the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Given the stage and prognosis, her medical team has advised an immediate start to chemotherapy, leaving her unable to continue working to support herself and MJ. With upcoming medical bills & the very expensive treatment not being fully covered by insurance, as well as everyday living expenses for her and MJ, her family and close friends are reaching out for support from her community.
