Easton’s Story #EastonStrong

Easton is a happy, kind and thoughtful kid. He is the definition of strength and bravery - to the extent a child shouldn’t have to be. Easton was born with cerebral palsy and has had more surgeries than one can count on their hands and feet. He’s had five since September 2021 alone, which was when his life was forever changed. Easton went in for a routine surgery at Cheo and was told that he might have leukaemia. After a series of tests it was found that Easton has severe Aplastic Anemia.

Aplastic Anemia is bone marrow failure- which means his body isn’t making enough blood. He was requiring platelets and blood transfusions almost daily. He’s had over 70 transfusions to date. Because of this Easton wasn’t able to go to school, to play sledge hockey or see his friends. It’s very important that he was staying safe as he had no immune system and the slightest cold could be fatal.

Easton underwent AGT treatment - which failed. Now Easton & his mom, Amanda, are heading to Sick Kids in Toronto in August for a Bone Marrow Transplant. This procedure is very serious and scary. This will require them to stay there in isolation for three months; away from his dad and younger brother. He literally can’t go anywhere or do anything during this time.

Easton and his family have been fighting for a very long time and made sacrifices that no parents should ever have to make. Please help by sharing and donating if you can. This will help cover the cost of their trip, passed and future expenses, among other expenses that are unknown.
