Dear Friends and family of Kate Lee Joystar,

With hearts full of love and concern, we, Renee Woolridge and Lucinda Light, are reaching out to you on behalf of our beloved friend, Kate. It is with a mixture of disbelief and hope that we share the news of Kate's health journey. Kate is facing advanced breast cancer, which has extended into her lymphatic system, collarbone, and neck, demanding urgent attention.

Kate is approaching her diagnosis with a remarkable perspective, viewing her cancer as something she is moving through, and ultimately out of her system. As a devoted single mother to three young girls, all under the age of eight, Kate finds herself unable to work as she directs her energy towards surgery, chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and recovery, aiming to heal her body to full recovery.

Kate embodies resilience and grace, known to many as a magical and loving mother, friend, sister, daughter, explorer, and creative soul. Her playful spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering determination have touched the lives of all who know her. However, even the strongest among us sometimes need a helping hand. While Kate's natural inclination is to shoulder her burdens alone, we've come together to remind her that it's okay

to lean on the love and support of her community during this challenging time.

We understand her reluctance to share her struggles openly, as she researches the complexities of her treatment while prioritising her family's stability, joy, and well-being. Now, more than ever, Kate needs our collective support. Your generosity will provide her with the financial confidence she needs to allow her to focus on her health and healing without the added burden of financial stress.

To support Kate on her holistic healing journey, she is seeking access to additional therapeutic approaches, including Integrative Medicine, Naturopathy, Dietetics, as well as emotional and spiritual support. Our collective goal is to ensure that Kate receives comprehensive care, minimising stress while ensuring her girls are well taken care of during this challenging period.

We estimate that over the next six to twelve months of treatment (and possibly longer until she can resume work), approximately $85,000 will be required to cover her loss of income, medical expenses, specialised diet and chosen healing modalities.

We appeal to you, Kate's cherished friends and community, to help her access the best possible treatments and health outcomes by contributing to this fundraiser.
