Introducing Me

My name is Daniel Munro, I’m an 18-year-old racing driver appealing for your support to support my goal of competing in the Mini 7 Racing Club's Mini Se7en championship this year. From six years old, I've been immersed in the world of kart racing, securing eight championship titles, triumphing in a 24-hour race, and earning the accolade of Driver of the Year three times, including the prestigious Downforce Radio’s “Grassroots Racing Driver of the Year” in 2021.

In British motorsport, I have seen how emerging talent often faces significant financial challenges that make it hard to compete on an equal footing. The high costs of entry-level racing can be overwhelming for those without substantial funding or sponsorship. From my perspective, securing sponsorship is crucial to overcoming these barriers. It provides the financial backing that allows young drivers like me to progress and compete at higher levels. Sponsors play a vital role in making racing more accessible, as their support helps level the playing field. Securing sponsors is key to promoting inclusivity in the sport, ensuring that talent, rather than financial status, is what determines success.

In 2022, I eagerly embarked on my car racing journey, participating in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series. Despite being new to the circuit, I achieved a commendable 6th place in the standings. My initial goal was to advance in the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2023, but the financial hurdles were insurmountable. However, in 2024 I was able to make a return to car racing in the OT Coupe Cup, with much support from many kind donations through GoFundMe. In my campaign I managed to take the series title winning 8/12 races, having arguably the most successful year of my entire racing career across karting and cars.

Now looking towards 2025 I am excited to announce that I shall be competing in the Mini 7 Racing Club's Mini Se7en championship, a highly prestigious championship that has previously produced many racing talents. I enter this year with great confidence that I will once again be successful and I'm thoroughly excited to get going but however I am in need of some support financially and would be extremely grateful if you could help me on this journey.

My early fascination with motorsports has developed into a disciplined approach to both the technical, strategic and business aspects of racing. My journey is a testament to focused ambition, characterised by meticulous preparation and a steadfast commitment to my goals.

The path to becoming a professional racer is weighed down with financial and logistical challenges. The costs are substantial, and your support is key to unlocking the financial constraints that hinder a driven upcoming talent.

I have consistently demonstrated my prowess on the track, combining skill with a deep understanding of race dynamics.

CI Group has continued its support of young talent in Business and into Motorsport as well. There are over a dozen young drivers who have enjoyed driving in the CI Group backed team ‘The Business’, currently young star Dan Munro is making noises and attracting attention having swept everyone away with his karting exploits. Team manager and the force behind The Business Team, CI Group Managing Director Gareth Baldwin, said of Dan, “Sometimes you find a talented young driver and just have to stand back in awe.
