Hello, my name is Louise. I’m a year 2 Herbal apprentice/ student of the School of the Sacred Wild. I am so grateful to have been granted a scholarship to the school, this school has changed my life and whilst I have been on the plant path for about 8 years, the depth of learning and connection to the plants and the Earth have expanded in ways I never deemed possible! I have learnt so much about how gently yet deeply the plants support us in to good health and wholeness. From my own experiences over the past couple of years of postpartum, grief, illness, burn out and stress, I truly wouldn’t have been able to move through it all without supporting myself and my children with herbs.
In July is our graduation at Mt Madonna, in California. I had almost dismissed being able to attend due to finances and I’m a single mama to 3 small children but other students and our wonderful teacher Marysia have all encouraged me to ask the wider community for support in getting me there to be together to graduate with other students so here I am stepping outside of my comfort zone to do just that. I also haven’t travelled alone since I became
a mama, almost 8 years ago and I feel this would be a much needed refresh for me and my babies!
£2500 covers my travel costs to California from England and also my accommodation/ graduation fees.
Alongside this Gofundme I am selling herbal medicine I have made, most of which has been harvested from my little organic medicine garden and holding community gatherings for local mamas and women. I have been making herbal medicine to share with family and friends for several years and I opened my online apothecary at the end of last year to be able to support my family financially, my business is very much in the early stages and I am so excited for the incredible healing tools I can share with people after graduation, including herbal consultations and medicine making workshops which will always be offered on a sliding scale, I am committed to making herbalism accessible to many, especially to mothers and their families so I am asking for your support to assist me now in making that possible.
I am deeply grateful for any and all support, thank you!
