Please Support Nevaeh's Fight Against AML Leukemia

Nevaeh is a bright, beautiful, and vibrant 14-year-old girl with an infectious energy. She loves her five siblings deeply and has a way of lighting up any room she enters. From a young age, Nevaeh has been a ball of fire—always speaking her truth and refusing to let anything bring her down.

However, over the past month and a half, Nevaeh’s health has taken a difficult turn. She’s battled RSV, bronchitis, a double ear infection, and a ruptured eardrum, which resulted in significant hearing loss in her right ear. Just last weekend, Nevaeh developed a sore throat and swelling in her neck. After another trip to the doctor, we were told it was likely viral and that all of her rapid tests came back negative. Still, the doctor recommended bloodwork to further investigate. Two days later, we got the call that shattered our world—her blood levels were critically low, and she needed to go to the hospital immediately.

On 2/27/2025, our worst fears were confirmed when doctors diagnosed Nevaeh with AML Leukemia. She needs to begin chemotherapy right away. Through it all, Nevaeh has shown incredible strength. Despite everything she’s facing, she continues to make jokes and smile, demonstrating a resilience that leaves me in awe.

As we navigate this difficult time, I find myself in a tough situation. I exhausted my FMLA last year after the birth of my son, and I can’t use it again until this summer. I’m unsure what this means for my job, as I need to be at the hospital with Nevaeh. This is why I’m reaching out, asking for any support you might be able to offer.
