As many of you may know, Matt Dumas underwent surgery a few weeks back to remove a tumor from his brain. Through that process he has been diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma. Treatment at Dana Farber will begin soon.
Matt represents the very best of people. Tremendous friend, always willing to help with other people’s projects, even if it means using up his entire weekend. Moving, painting, building - if you need help he (and Amy) are always willing and able to lend a helping hand. Been in a car accident? You’ve probably reached out to Matt for his tremendous knowledge of all things auto body related.
But this all pales in comparison for his love and devotion to his wife Amy and their sons Connor and Cody. Thousands of hours coaching and encouraging his sons to excel at their activities. Most recently - Matt (and Amy) has been a devoted parent-volunteer with the Dartmouth High School Marching Band and Indoor Percussion.
The Dumas family is blessed to have had so many people reach out with care and concern. If you’ve asked Amy, “please let me know how I can help or what I can do” this is your answer: Please consider donating to this Gofundme. This was set up to help her navigate the insurance bills, travel costs, and possible gaps in income that may be coming their way. My hope is that some of this money can be used to allow them to check off some bucket list items.
As Matt continues to take part in the activity he loves - golf - Amy has said, “we ask that positivity rule and to keep hope alive so we can manifest that into the universe”.
